Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2025
Hey, y’all. Thanks for stopping by.
This corner of the internet is built with care and intention. I’m not here to track your every move or sell your info. That’s just not how I operate.
I believe your privacy is part of your dignity. So here’s what you need to know, in plain English—with a little mason jar wisdom: keep things simple, honest, and respectful.
🍞 What I Collect (and Why)
If you fill out the “Let’s Break Bread” contact form, I’ll receive your name and email address. That’s it.
I use this information only to respond to your message. I don’t share, sell, or trade your information. Ever.
📮 About the “Let’s Break Bread” Form
This site uses Tally, a third-party form provider, to power the “Let’s Break Bread” contact form. When you submit the form, your name and email are securely stored by Tally on my behalf.
Tally does not use your information for marketing or advertising, and your data will only be accessed as needed to respond to your message. You can read Tally’s Privacy Policy here.
If you ever want your message or data deleted, just reach out and I’ll take care of it.
📊 How I Use Information (and What I Don’t)
I don’t run ads. I don’t use creepy cookies that follow you around the internet. I don’t even want to.
If I use basic analytics (to understand which pages folks visit or how many folks stop by), I’ll choose privacy-first tools like Plausible or Fathom—tools that don’t track you personally.
If those tools are active and use cookies, you’ll see a clear consent banner when you first visit, where you can manage your preferences.
📎 Embedded Content & Third-Party Links
Some pages may include embedded content from third-party platforms, like YouTube, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter). These services may collect data about you, especially if you're logged into them while visiting my site. For example, a YouTube video might set cookies or track views.
I can’t control how these platforms use your data. Their behavior is governed by their own privacy policies. But I promise to embed responsibly, and any non-essential cookies from third parties will be subject to your explicit consent.
🛠 Your Rights & Choices (GDPR & Beyond)
Your privacy matters. Whether you’re in the U.S. or the European Economic Area (EEA), you have important rights under privacy laws like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.
You have the right to:
- Access – Request a copy of your personal information.
- Correction – Ask me to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure – Ask me to delete your personal information (“the right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict processing – Ask me to limit how your information is used.
- Object to processing – Object to how I’m using your data.
- Data portability – Request your data in a structured, portable format.
- Withdraw consent – You can change your mind at any time.
📬 To exercise any of these rights, contact me at privacy@wilfredstephenanfield.com.
⏳ How Long I Keep Your Info
I believe in data minimization—just like you don’t put more in a jar than you need, I don’t hold onto your information longer than necessary.
- Contact Form Submissions: I retain your name, email, and message for up to one year from the date of our last communication. Then it’s securely deleted.
- Website Analytics: If enabled, any non-identifiable data is stored according to the tool’s default retention period (typically under 13 months for tools like Plausible or Fathom).
💬 Final Word
I believe privacy is care. I don’t collect what I don’t need. I don’t keep what I don’t use. This space is about trust, dignity, and doing things differently.
Let’s keep creating digital spaces that carry our values—privacy, presence, and the kind of care that doesn’t need a cookie to remember you.
